I love this!

I saw this online a few days ago, but this is the first chance I have had to post it.

In this TED talk Manu Prakash shows a microscope that folds like origami.  It is practically indestructible and it is inexpensive to make.

PrakashLab at Stanford University is currently looking for beta-testers for Foldscope.  I hope they get the publicity they need to make mass manufacturing of optical microscopes a reality.

This could have a major impact on global health.

It would also be super cool if all K-12 students were able to have their own microscopes.  What a great resource!
